Regardless of what level you are playing at, we understand that every client has unique requirements. That is why we offer fully bespoke packages catering to your needs. Whether that is reporting wages and expenses or managing complex investments, commercial deals, and image rights, we are uniquely positioned to help you meet your global tax needs.
GTN Sports provides a wide range of tax services tailored to the unique needs of professional footballers and athletes, including:International moves to/from the UK.
Unlike other firms, we are not owned by big organisations or private equity firms, nor do we have exclusivity deals with agents, clubs, or lawyers. Being independent allows us the flexibility to choose the partners that are best suited to our clients’ interests.
We have established a robust international network of tax partners specialising in serving sports professionals in various countries, including Belgium, Dubai, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Canada, and the USA. This global presence allows us to seamlessly support our clients throughout their careers, regardless of the sports leagues they move to. Our expertise in international tax matters proves invaluable when assisting sports stars moving to and from the UK.
We regularly handle tax investigations from HMRC, including Employer Compliance Reviews for clubs and enquiries into Self-Assessment tax matters for players. Our team can review new and ongoing tax audits and provide pre-audit health checks to minimise the risk of potential fines for non-compliance.
Sports professionals frequently face audits from HMRC, and we are pleased to offer our Fee Protection Arrangements within our fee proposals, covering any costs we incur of up to £100,000 when dealing with an HMRC audit. This added protection can be highly beneficial as HMRC audits often take 1-2 years to fully close.
If you have any income from prior years that has yet to be declared, we can assist with full disclosure and mitigation of penalties, helping bring everything up to date.
As footballers or sports professionals, we recognise the importance of managing wealth wisely throughout your career. Partnering with seasoned wealth managers and financial planners specialising in professional sports, we ensure you optimise your earnings by maximising yearly tax allowances and making sound investment decisions.
Moreover, our collaboration extends to expert insurance advisers who offer guidance on tax mitigation planning and coverage for potential career-ending injuries – a crucial aspect of your professional journey.
Our commitment is to provide comprehensive support, covering everything from commercial deals, image rights arrangements, and sponsorships to legal matters through our extensive network of legal partners.
In addition, we offer tailored financial education training for sports professionals at every career stage, from training academies to top-level sports leagues. These sessions equip players and athletes with essential knowledge on topics such as tax planning, financial planning, and insurance issues.
For all your tax and financial planning requirements, rely on our expertise and experience in serving professional athletes and footballers like yourself.
Experience the advantage of working with a team of highly skilled tax professionals who understand the unique needs of professional athletes and footballers. Partner with GTN Sports and gain peace of mind knowing that your tax affairs are in capable hands.
